VIDEO: GOP US Senate Candidate’s Pathetic Dodging on Ryan Plan – 2012 Foreshadowing?
Our country would be… immessurably better off if more radio, TV and print media folks were as straightforward as this host is, in not allowing a politician to dance around an issue. This isn’t even a liberal or conservative thing, this is a POLITICIAN thing, but in regards to next year’s election, I think it is a reasonable prediction for a whole hell of a lot of republicans to be dancing around the Ryan plan, like this guy. Most media people will probably let them too…
About Solomon Kleinsmith
I started this site in the summer of 2010, really just as a hobby at first. But I'm pretty ambitious, and between being able to recruit some great bloggers to join the team here, putting a ton of work into the site and attracting a lot of traffic through Twitter, we've grown very fast for a young blog with next to no budget.

I particularly appreciate this comment, from the YouTube page:
“I’m a liberal, and I saw a clip of this show on Huffington Post (both of which probably make you wince a little), but I have to say I wish all interviewers would conduct themselves they way you did here, not because? you were hard on a republican, but because too many, both left and right, let the interviewee dictate where the conversation goes with their own narrative. I wish more of them would say like you did “This is my show, answer *my* question”.”
Here here.
Well its the only plan out there, the democrats don’t have one and Obama’s got rejected by the Senate 97-0.
Meh. Bullying someone for an answer to a hypothetical that’s not going to happen?
I do support in general the idea of preventing evasive answers, But in this case, if he says he wouldn’t vote for it exactly as is because it needs more tweaking, he’s going to get soundbit into “against Ryan.”
This is a hot issue – not an unreasonable question to ask at all.
And, from what I’ve read, the radio host is a conservative.
If that is what he thought, then he could have easily said that one of the 8 or so times he was asked about it.
The host being conservative makes no difference in the primary season. The right-wing as well as the left-wing are looking for soundbites.
Oh, that being said, I have no problem with pressing for an answer, just pointing out that the political inclination of the interviewer here didn’t make a difference.
